The very first thing that you must know is that XLRI university does not offer distance MBA courses. The institution provides an option to study management courses in a distance learning mode.

XLRI stands for Xavier Labor Research Institute, it offers students across the nation an opportunity to study various distance education courses under the brand Xavier Labor. The courses are offered via the institution’s satellite course or through an online program. Another very important thing that you must keep in mind is that all the courses that are offered by the institution are not equivalent to MBA courses.

Since we have previously mentioned that the courses offered by the university are not at all equivalent to MBA courses, the courses offered by XLRI university runs for a duration of one year.

Fee structure of the university
The course fee of XLRI University is around INR 2,40,000 to INR 2,60, 000. The fee structure does not include any tax (according to the fee structure of 2017), it includes study material, campus component fee and also includes books as well. The total fee can be paid in 5 instalments.

How to take admission?
The teaching faculty of XLRI university is very efficient and actively takes part in teaching the students. The documents that are required for taking admission in the university include the graduation or a degree certificate, a letter from the company that you work in and a demand draft of Rs 1,000. The demand draft is payable at Jamshedpur.
Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of the XAT examination conducted by the university. Shortlisted candidates will be sent an email regarding their selection for studying the course. However, shortlisted candidates will also have to appear for a personal interview round conducted by the university.
Eligibility for the course
Candidates interested in studying the distance education courses offered by XLRI university will be selected based on the below-mentioned eligibility criteria.
- The candidate should be a graduate from any recognised university in the country.
- Having work experience of 2 years is a must after completion of graduation.
- Clearing the personal interview round is must in order to study the distance education courses.
- Candidates should have basic computer knowledge.
- Candidates who run their own business are also eligible.
- Lastly, interested candidates must have mathematics or statistics as a subject in higher secondary level.
