1. Yosemite Falls: This waterfall is considered to be one of the best in the United States and has a total height of 2425 feet (this includes Upper Yosemite Fall at 1430 feet and Lower Yosemite Fall at a height of 1740 feet). The falls are fed by the melting snow from the Sierra Nevada mountain range, which then forms into streams that flow into different rivers throughout California. If you’re looking to check out waterfalls on the west coast, including California, Nevada, and Oregon waterfalls, this should be one of your first stops.
2. Sutherland Falls: This waterfall is located in New Zealand and has a total height of 3590 feet. It is considered to be one of the tallest waterfalls in all of Oceania and it also comprises part of Milford Sound, which was added to UNESCO’s list as one of their World Heritage Sites due to its outstanding natural beauty and ecological importance.
3. Angel Falls: This waterfall is located in Venezuela and has a total height of 3300 feet (this includes the tallest free-fall drop of 2000 feet). The falls were named after Jimmie Angel, who was an American aviator and became known for being the first person to fly over Mount Roraima, which is located right next to where these falls are situated at. It has been said that he fell in love with this site when he saw it from the sky, therefore naming it such.
4. Yosemite Creek Waterfall: Located in California’s Sierra Nevada mountain range is one of the most beautiful sites that you could ever lay your eyes upon, it would have to be Yosemite Creek Waterfall. With a total height of 2530 feet (this includes Upper Yosemite Fall at 1430 and Lower Yosemite Fall at a height of 1110 feet), this waterfall is the 5th highest in all of North America. Tugela Falls: This waterfall is located in South Africa and has a total height of 2822 feet (this includes Upper Tugela Fall with a height of 1869 feet and Middle Tugela Fall with a height of 653 foot). If you are planning on visiting this area, make sure that your journey begins here; it will not disappoint!
6. Silver Cord Cascade: This cascade is found near the town of Aitkin in Minnesota and has a total height of 2800 feet (this includes the upper cascade at 1625 feet, middle cascade at 565 feet, and lower cascade at 550 feet).
7. Pymore Falls: This waterfall is known for its six different cascades that make up it’s total height of 2775 feet (including Upper Pymore Fall with a height of 1529 foot and Lower Pymore Fall with a height of 1246 foot). Make sure to keep a lookout for these falls during your next visit!
8. Kat Koot Lookout Cascade: Located in Tasmania, Australia is one waterfall you do not want to pass up on while visiting this area. With a total height of 2720 feet (this includes Upper Kat Koot Lookout Cascade with a height of 1432 feet and Lower Kat Koot Lookout Cascade with a height of 1188 foot), this waterfall was formed after the Cascades Dam, which is located next to where Pymore Falls are situated at.

Havasu Creek Falls: This waterfall is located in Arizona’s Grand Canyon National Park and has a total height of 2680 feet (this includes Havasu Falls at 1040 feet, Mooney Falls at 1050 feet, and Beaver Falls at 590 feet). These falls are best visited during the summer months because they tend to dry up or reduce in size during other seasons. So make sure you plan accordingly!
