Top Tips for Picking Health Supplements Safely Online

In 2019, as many as 77% of Americans reported that they consumed dietary supplements.

Of those, 58% took multivitamins, while between 12% and 21% consumed products that fall into the general health supplement category. The number of players has grown exponentially in this very competitive industry.

And that’s the problem. Some products sold online are of poor quality, or worse. They could even contain fillers or contaminants harmful to humans. If you are residential of canada, you can buy original medicines from the Canadian Pharmacy.

That’s our motivation for giving you tips on picking health supplements safely, especially when shopping online. Keep reading to learn more!

Picking Health Supplements the Safe Way

The first thing is to look for signs that the product on sale is reputable. Apart from being a well-known brand, you need to look for certification. In the US, these could be the United States Pharmacopeia (USP), NSF International, or ConsumerLab.com.

Be aware that there are fraudulent companies in the market. You have all heard about the fake luxury watches at unbelievably low prices. Well, the health supplement market is no different.

Our second tip is that you should read the label. Do the ingredients match the marketing claims of the product and are they in the quantities you need? Make sure that the product comes from a company that can show proven research preceded the manufacturing of the supplement.

The FDA has a Tainted Products list that gives the hidden ingredients per product name and the company that makes or distributes it. Looking up the names of the ingredients on this can be an eye-opening exercise.

Third—although perhaps it should be first, and certainly before you buy anything—consult your doctor. Your doctor will be able to advise you on whether the product will be of benefit to you. Your doctor will also be aware of FDA warnings or product recalls.

Medical professionals can tell you whether the supplements you think you need are compatible with the prescription medications you’re already taking. It is also possible that your health status would make it inadvisable to take certain supplements. If there’s any doubt, there are a number of blood tests you can have to determine dietary deficiencies.

Side Effects Can Be Serious

Read the product specifications and check for possible side effects.

For example, the once-popular antacid Ranitidine, also branded as Zantac, was discovered to have carcinogenic effects. The cancer-causing side effects have prompted zantacsettlement.org to dedicate a website to providing information about the Zantac Lawsuit. The website has an extensive FAQ for anyone concerned about their consumption of this medication.

If you have already gone through the four steps listed above, then it is still a good idea—our tip number five—to check online customer reviews. Doing so will give you some peace of mind that you are not unwittingly participating in a scam or purchasing a harmful product.

Be Sure of the Website’s Bona Fides

Our last tip is to check out the website and make sure it is not a disreputable or bogus site. Ask yourself seriously whether the amazing claims they make for the products they’re selling are too good to be true.

If they provide solid product information and are easy to contact, they are probably reputable, but you need to be alert all the same.

Benefits of Saffron for Males:

A commonly known and highly expensive spice, saffron is a tiny thread-like structure that has enormous health benefits. The thread of saffron is found as the stigma part of the flower named Crocus sativus. In each flower of this type, three delicate threads or stigma are present that need to be handpicked and processed further to bring them out into the market. Harvesting the crop, picking the flowers, and then detaching the delicate saffron threads from each flower needs time, money, and skills. This is the reason for such a high price of this spice.

The look and feel of saffron:

These are delicate, thin, and silky threads, that are red. The touch of this stigma is so smooth that you can’t feel the weight of it and it has a distinct aroma. When used in food items it delivers a bright yellowish or orange color to the food depending on the amount used.

Composition of saffron:

It has more than 100 components but the common ones to provide the most benefits are three components,

  • Crocin: Gives it an orange tint.
  • Picrocrocin: Contribute to its bitter taste. The reason why it is called a spice.
  • Safranal: Responsible for its aroma.

Regions where saffron is used as a spice:

Worldwide saffron is used as a spice in all luxurious meals and most of the traditional dishes. The amount used is so little that it can not be detected visually but the aroma of it makes the whole deal.

It is used as an ingredient in the following cuisines,

  • Indian
  • Asian
  • Turkish
  • Spanish
  • Moroccan
  • Persian
  • North African.

Benefits of saffron:

The numerous health and cosmetic benefits of saffron are incredible and it has been used as a medicine in ancient times for the treatment of some critical ailments.

  • Respiratory benefits: It is beneficial for relief in respiratory infections like cough, cold, asthma, fever.
  • Circulatory benefits: It improves blood flow and helps in the oxygenation of blood with the removal of toxins from the blood.
  • Digestive benefits: It helps against acidity and keeps the PH of the digestive tract in a normal healthy range.
  • Psychological benefits: It is an antidepressant and can be a component of aromatherapy for depression and panic attacks. Also used to treat addictions in rehabilitation sessions.
  • Beneficial for skin: The antioxidant properties of saffron makes it good for the skin to prevent pimples and provide healing for the scars.
  • Work against infections: The anti-inflammatory properties of saffron are beneficial for healing infections and enhance growth.

Saffron can treat erectile dysfunction:

Erectile dysfunction is also known as impotence and is the inability of males to obtain or maintain an erection. Oxygenated blood needs to flow into the genitals for a normal erection but in men, with erectile dysfunction, there is a problem with circulation to the genitals.

Drugs called PDE-5 inhibitors are best for treating erectile dysfunction, which includes Vilitra 40mg Vardenafil to improve blood flow to the penis.

Besides that natural remedies are also available. As saffron has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, it can effectively treat erectile dysfunction. It also improves the blood flow to the genitals to improve the condition in men suffering from ED. Unlike the PDE-5 drugs, saffron doesn’t show its result right after its administration, but if you add it as a part of your daily diet you can see surprising results.

Precautions for taking saffron as medicine:

  • You should not take more than a pinch of saffron per serving as it has poisonous effects if taken in more than 5 grams.
  • If taking saffron for the first time you need to be sure that you are not allergic to it.
  • To stay safe you can go with 2 servings of saffron per day.

Six Things to Know About MRIs

Published

on

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a common medical procedure in all parts of the world. It is used to take an image of the inside of your body. The procedure is done to examine any abnormalities in various body parts. Your doctor will recommend having an MRI done when they need more details before confirming a diagnosis. If you are concerned about your health, look for the best MRI office in Boise, ID.

This process can be overwhelming but there isn’t anything to worry about. Here are some quick facts which will help bust myths and ease your mind.

MRIs are Not Harmful

A common misconception is that MRIs utilize that same technology as x-rays. X-rays involve the use of ionizing radiation which may harm your cells, while MRIs do not. Simply put, an MRI is a giant magnet that captures images of your body. It is extremely rare for a patient to experience any side effects. This is also why MRIs are preferred over x-rays and CT scans for children and infants.

Patients Must be Screened Prior to Scanning

Since the MRI machine employs magnetic fields, patients need to remove all jewelry and other metallic items before entering the machine. This also applies to internal equipment, such as pacemakers and implants. The magnetic field can be up to four thousand times stronger than the earth’s!

The Duration Depends

An MRI can take as little as ten minutes, or as long as two hours. The duration depends on factors such as the purpose of the MRI, the patient’s movements, and so on.

The Procedure is Fairly New

Did you know that the first successful MRI on a human was conducted in 1977? Technology has made massive strides since then. The United States of America stands second in the world with 25.9 MRI units per million population.

MRIs can Detect Various Diseases

It is a common myth that the procedure is used to only detect physical injuries. MRIs are usually used to detect ligament or tendon tears and broken bones. But that is not all they can do. The procedure can be used to detect bipolar disorder, Alzheimer’s disease, for predicting cancers and even tracking brain nerve paths. Additionally, since the procedure does not emit radiation, it can be repeated as many times as required.

What About Side Effects?

Side effects from MRI scans are minimal and rare. MRI scans are painless but can cause a person to feel suffocated or claustrophobic since it is a confined space. Doctors may inject patients with a contrast dye for better imaging. This dye can cause allergic reactions, such as headaches, nausea, and hives.

The patient can get back to their daily routine as soon as the scan is done. There is no aftercare required. However, pregnant women are usually advised against scanning unless it is absolutely vital.

In conclusion, there is no need to fret about an MRI scan. At the end of the day, it is for your b.

How to Treat Varicose Veins Effectively and Painlessly

Published

on

Endovenous Laser Treatment, commonly known as EVLT, is an effective way of curing varicose veins. Veins may become enlarged or swollen due to damaged vein valves. This usually happens in the legs. The affected individual may experience pain in varying levels of severity. Should this happen to you, you should not delay seeking medical attention. Albeit rare, varicose veins can cause serious health issues as well. Find out about the best Endovenous Laser Treatment in Boise, ID today.

Here is what you need to know about the procedure, the recovery process and possible side effects.

Preparation

Before the procedure starts, you will need to consult with a doctor. This is especially important if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or have health problems, such as diabetes. You may also need to pause your intake of specific medicines prior to the procedure.

The Treatment

  • The entire procedure can take up to three hours. This also includes recovery time. You do not need to be admitted to a hospital and can leave immediately after the procedure.
  • The procedure takes place while lying down. A device similar to an ultrasound is used for guidance to examine the vein deeply.
  • The affected area is injected with local anesthesia so that you don’t feel any pain from the forthcoming incision.
  • A needle is inserted into the affected area. Then, a catheter containing the laser heat source finds its way to the vein. If the patient continues to feel pain, more anesthesia can be injected.
  • The catheter is slowly inserted and then retracted out. This process seals the vein as the catheter emits heat and light energy.
  • After this is done, the catheter is removed completely. There may be some bleeding after removal, so the doctors and nurses take care of that. The staff then wraps a bandage around the treated area to aid in the recovery process.

The Recovery Process

You may be asked to remain at the clinic for a few hours after the procedure is done. After that, follow precautions at home:

  • Medication: Take the prescribed medicines on time.
  • Wound: Take care of the insertion site as it can get infected since it is an open wound. Clean it and then bandage it.
  • Walk: Walking a few times a day can aid in the recovery process.
  • No Travel:  You can resume most daily activities after the procedure, but you should not travel by air.
  • No Exercises: Do not lift heavy objects or exercise for long hours for a few days.

A week or so later, your doctor will set up an appointment to conduct an ultrasound of your leg. This is done to ensure that there are no clots or other complications from the procedure. You should also contact your doctor if you are having difficulty in breathing or if there is any swelling in your legs.

If you are suffering from varicose veins, book an appointment today to restore your health to its prime today.

3. Avoid Cavities Completely

Do you have frequent issues with cavities? Are there more than a few teeth in your mouth currently that need to be pulled because of cavities? If so, you should strongly consider replacing those teeth with new dental implants.

After all, dental implants will last for a long time. On top of that, you won’t have to worry about getting cavities in those implants, which is an added bonus.

4. Improve the Look of Your Smile

Let’s be honest. Nobody wants to have a smile that they’re afraid to show off. If you’re currently unhappy with your smile, you can improve upon it by getting dental implants.

These implants will allow you to get a smile that will make taking pictures, or having confidence in your professional or personal life, that much easier. That is more than enough reason to contact a local family dentist to book a consultation appointment today.

What Are SARMs and How Can You Effectively Use Them?

What Are SARMs and How Can You Effectively Use Them

You may have heard of them, but what are SARMs? Well, you’re in the right place to find out.

In essence, SARMs are often referred to as a safer alternative to steroids, but that’s not a very nice way to put it. SARMs are so much more than that, and not to mention, they are legal for the most part.

In this article, we will cover everything you need to know about SARMs so that you can decide if you would like to try them.

What Are SARMs?

Selective androgen receptor modulators, also known as SARMs, have been around for a long time. The first introduction of SARMs occurred through marketing for osteoporosis, cancer, and other disease treatment by Ligand Pharmaceuticals. At the time, they were called steroidal SARMs.

After a short amount of time, researchers quickly discovered that the steroidal SARMs were prone to side effects. Patients would see large gains in lean muscle mass, but doctors would note several negative side effects as well.

Steroids (steroidal SARMs) cause a variety of side effects, such as low libido, gynecomastia, heart disease, and liver damage. But don’t fear, these are not the SARMs we are going to talk about.

After these discoveries, doctors stopped prescribing these steroidal forms of SARMs. Not much else was said for steroidal SARMs for a long time.

Over a period of time, closer to our day, GTx INC began to release non-steroidal SARMs. Those are the protein-based chemical structures that we now call SARMs. They can give us a variety of benefits that steroids do, but with significantly fewer side effects, making them a very feasible opportunity for bodybuilding.

Now that you know what are SARMs, let’s learn about the difference between them and steroids.

Steroids vs SARMs

Anabolic steroids are a case of nortestosterone and testosterone derivatives that stimulate hormone responses that result in muscle growth. They were developed by German scientists who wanted to gain an advantage in the Olympic games. They began more commonplace with bodybuilders in the 1950s.

Just like there are many varieties of steroids, there is also a lot of different SARMs. They all have similar effects, but what differs is the method of action. And it does make a very noticeable difference.

While almost all steroids bind with all androgen receptors in the body, SARMs only bind to a select number of them. While this might seem unimportant, it’s the most prominent difference from steroids for individuals who want to avoid side effects.

Due to this selective approach of SARMs, they only have a fraction of the potential side effects but are just as effective as steroids.

When you take testosterone enanthate, it will bind to all of your receptors, even those in your heart, blood, and other parts of the body. This results in a lot of adverse side effects.

Contrary to that, SARMs selectively choose the receptors to bind with. Not to mention, some of the SARMs don’t bind to receptors at all.

Some SARMs modulate the receptors, which lets the user achieve positive results while avoiding heart and liver problems.

SARMs Legality

One of the biggest questions that people have after learning about the effect of SARMs is their legality. Fortunately for most, SARMs are entirely legal to sell, buy, and possess. And that’s because they are sold for “research purposes”, not for human consumption.

According to most law regulations, unless you pull your SARMs out at the police department and begin to use them, it’s entirely legal.

The only time not to consume SARMs is if you’re a military member, college athlete, or Olympic athlete because these groups can get tested for them. However, usually, only professional athletes have to worry about SARMs since they are tested against the World Anti-Doping List, which does cover SARMs.

SARMs are currently 100% legal in the US, UK, Australia, Europe, and Canada. SARMs are also legally purchased and owned in India, Pakistan, Sweden, Netherland, and many others.

It’s not hard to find SARMs for sale, but it’s hard to find reputable and high-quality SARMs. As long as you place substantial effort into researching and learning about the companies you will be ordering from, you will be well ahead of other individuals who don’t know what they are doing.

So don’t hesitate to spend hours trying to learn about SARMs, because it’s your health on the line. And even though SARMs are safe, what you buy might not be SARMs, and that’s a problem.

Now let’s get into the most prominent substances of the SARMs family.

MK-2866: Ostarine

Ostarine is a very common SARM, which was initially developed to treat muscle-wasting. It didn’t take long before users caught onto the musclebuilding effectiveness and started to bulk up.

Apparently, even 3 mg of ostarine per day can help you gain substantial muscle mass, especially when put against placebos. To add perspective, ostarine is safe in dosages up to 50 mg each day. That’s 15 times more than the dose mentioned earlier.

Lifters who take ostarine do so during bulking stages and recomposition. During bulking, many reports getting over 10 lbs of muscles in 2 months, as well as shedding fat and improving strength outputs.

But the real power comes from stacking ostarine with other supplements. It can be stacked with ligandrol, cardarine, and andarine, all of which are also SARMs.

GW-501516: Cardarine

Cardarine reprograms the muscle fiber types that are responsible for endurance during cardio. In moderate doses, it’s noted that cardarine significantly improves endurance and oxidizes more fat than ever before.

Even though cardarine isn’t technically a SARM, it’s listed as one that many websites sell. Cardarine binds to peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors, which is why it’s not a “SARM”.

It’s primarily used in competitive environments to achieve weight and improve endurance. So it provides athletes with huge advantages.

In fact, many users report that they can endure cardio for days when taking it. Many people use them to run marathons. Users also report cutting and drying properties that help improve their physique before competitions.

LGD-4033: Ligandrol

Ligandrol is generally well-tolerated with most people. It’s noted for enhancing lean body mass, weight loss, and an improved sense of wellbeing.

It’s primarily known for the ability to shred fat when preparing for beach season or competitions. It’s not uncommon to take ligandrol and find that fat is being burnt quickly.

However, the real magic of ligandrol comes out from stacking it with cardarine. SARMs are great on their own, but even better when combined.

These two make for a great fat-burning complex, which will give you a hard clean dry look and help you shed weight quickly.

S4: Andarine

Andarine is great for building muscle, increasing strength, and shredding fat. However, it’s also good for building bone density. It’s very impressive in terms of reducing water retention, which leads to a dry look.

In totality, as with other SARMs, there are very few side effects when taking it in the advised range of dosage. When dosed over 50 mg per day, andarine does lead to side-effects.

The first is HPG axis suppression, which means your testosterone production is reduced. However, this is not permanent and can be fixed with a regular post-cycle therapy schedule.

The more serious side effect is the potential for nighttime blindness.

It’s not what you might think though. It’s simply a color shift when taking large doses of andarine. So make sure to stay within the advised limits.

RAD-140: Testolone

Testolone is potentially the most powerful SARM on the list. It also has the best anabolic to androgenic ratio at about 90 to 1. This means that not only will it provide steroidal growth effects, but it will have practically zero androgenic side effects.

Regular testosterone steroids have an anabolic to androgenic ratio of 100 to 100. This means that for every anabolic receptor it binds to, it will also bind to an androgenic receptor which is responsible for side effects and estrogen increase.

Testolone does not do this; it’s anabolic entirely. In a scientific study done by the Cambridge University, they described this SARM as being an orally bio-available and potent non-steroidal SARM. They even compared it to steroids.

It stimulates muscle weight increase at low doses, which does not enable the prostate weight to increase. Moreover, it has a selective efficacy because the fully anabolic result is significantly above the minimal efficacy on the seminal and prostate vesicles.

All in all, testolone is very powerful with potentially no side effects.

MK-677: Nutrabol

Have you ever heard of human growth hormone? Well, it’s the hormone we release when we sleep and it has a wide variety of beneficial effects on the body. It helps with bone growth, muscle growth, blood sugar, metabolism, and much more.

But as we get older, HGH decreases.

Nutrabol is not technically a SARM; it’s a growth hormone secretagogue. This means it’s a chemical that encourages the pituitary gland to secrete HGH

It’s often sold with SARMs and stacks great, leading to an even wider range of potential effects. Short-term administration can increase IGF-1, GH, and IGHBP-3. It’s the bulker’s best choice, as it secretes three different hormones that aid muscle mass.

Also, because of its effect profile, nutrabol helps recovery tremendously, especially when combined with testolone and ostarine.

Bulking SARM Stack

A typical SARMs bulking stack will help you gain muscle as soon as possible and as quickly as possible. It’s important to maintain a caloric surplus when bulking; 700 calories over your maintenance is a good range.

Some options for a SARM bulking stack are RAD-140, MK-677, and LGD-4033. However, the beauty of SARMs is in the ability to design your own stack; you don’t even have to follow our guide. We only listed, what, like 5 different SARMs?

There are certainly over a dozen available, and that’s just the most popular ones. So do your research, and find what’s best for you.

Cutting SARM Stack

If you want to shred fat and not focus on muscle mass, you will want to use a cutting stack. These are geared towards weight loss while muscle mass is maintained.

Some people can also gain some muscle, but it’s not the primary effect. Examples of SARMs for cutting are S4, cardarine, and ostarine.

Recomposition SARM Stack

A recomposition stack is one you should use to maintain your weight, but change the composition of it. Basically, you want to gain muscle while losing fat but remaining the same weight.

A great recomposition stack relies on high-protein surplus and cardio. Some great SARMs for this stack are YK-11, cardarine, and LGD-4033.

Strength SARM Stack

Some users simply want to get more strength. Powerlifters don’t really care about looks or fat; they just want to push more weight. If you only cared about gaining weight and throwing steel around, you should try a strength stack.

This stack is very similar to that for bulking, but it will focus on muscle density, not size. A strength stack will have RAD-140, YK-11, and MK-677.

Use SARMs to Your Advantage

Now that you already know what are SARMs, you are potentially intrigued in purchasing some for yourself or continuing your studies. However, we cannot provide any purchasing advice for SARMs, so we’ll leave that up to you.

As long as you look for reputable and well-known vendors with certificates of analysis on their products, you will likely avoid all potential problems.
