Difference Between Private and Public cloud:

Public cloudPrivate Cloud
Public cloud is a cloud deployment model controlled by cloud service providers for cloud service users and resources.A private cloud is a cloud deployment model controlled by cloud service customers for a single cloud service user and dedicated resources.
Public clouds have very broad boundaries, and users have few restrictions on accessing public cloud services.Private clouds are designed to set a narrow boundary and limit users to a single enterprise.
The cloud servers and cloud server instances that we often hear or use belong to the category of public clouds, which are suitable for enterprises and developers who do not have the conditions or requirements to set up private clouds. The private cloud may be owned, managed, and operated by the enterprise itself or a third party, and maybe deployed in the enterprise workplace or data center. Users can also authorize access to other aspects.
Public clouds are easy to implement, and because the cost of hardware, applications, and bandwidth are borne by the provider, users only pay for the content they use. Private cloud is the ability to apply the additional control and benefits of cloud computing to existing data center operations.
Small businesses may prefer public clouds because of their lower costs, but before choosing a public cloud, users should first study the security strategy of their provider. Private clouds provide advanced security, reliable availability, and high control. They can be customized according to the user’s specifications and are highly efficient because they are designed and managed for the users they serve.
public clouds are publicly accessibleusers who have sensitive data or need guaranteed availability may use the private cloud.

Thinking Of taking Public Cloud?

The public cloud allows for scalability and resource sharing that would not otherwise be possible for a single organization to achieve. Companies like Netflix, Pinterest, Evernote, Instagram use the public cloud. The public cloud is easy to use and the cost is quite less than private clouds, most of the small businesses use the public cloud. Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the most used public cloud right now. Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) is a web service that provides secure, resizable compute capacity in the cloud. You can use the Amazon EC2 selector to launch as many or as few virtual servers as you need, configure security and networking, and manage storage. Amazon EC2 enables you to scale up or down to handle changes in requirements or spikes in popularity, reducing your need to forecast traffic. You can see the ec2  – EC2 Instance Cost Comparison
