With over one thousand million customers and counting, Instagram is simply a pressure to be reckoned with. In fact, as the recognition of this unique platform has grown exponentially in the past five years especially, increasing number of people are using Instagram for more than just social interactions. But the question arises: How do we make money from a social media platform?

Promote Affiliate Links: Affiliate links have become a popular way to make money on Instagram, and it’s easy to get started too.   First, you need to identify an affiliate program brand that you would like to work with. Then sign up for their affiliate program. After registering, you will become an affiliate partner and receive your unique and traceable promo code or link. Advertise the product on your Instagram account, including the link or promotional code. If one of your followers follows the link and buys, you will receive a commission on the sale. The money earned in an affiliate program is based on commissions. If this is the path you want to go in making money on Instagram, make sure the brand you choose has an excellent reputation and is relevant to your audience so you have a better chance of making those sales.

Promote Your Online Store or Other Business: If you have a business, you can use Instagram like any other brand. This is especially valuable if you are selling products that your photography can display. Instagram is great for promoting fashion, beauty and food products. For each advertising article, you need four articles that do not promote your product. However, you can present your business or company in more general publications and emphasize its more humane side. For example, you can share pictures of your customers using the product. Alternatively, you can show your followers what is really going on behind the scenes. You will likely respond well to these posts by showing your more human side. Instagram can be a very lucrative way to make money, but you need to lay the foundations for it first. Once you’ve put the time and effort into building an engaged audience, there’s no reason you can’t live well, exclusively from your Instagram activities. It’s more than just a social media platform for users to connect with their favourite friends and influencers. When used correctly, it also can be a strong sales tool and how to form money.
