In the recent forwarded messages in student’s whatsapp groups and status a new rumour about infamous Lovely Professional University has emerged stating that personal belongings of students residing in hostel rooms are being shifted to cloakroom without permission of students.
This led to the chaotic confusion of the safety of personal belongings left by students after the shut down of university on 12th march 2020 due to outbreak of coronavirus.
However after contacting Lovely Professional University’s administration it became clearer that selective hostel rooms of boys hostel 6 and boys hostel 7 has been turned into quarantine facility for outside LPU students returning to Punjab who have been medically screened , administration has taken permission from students of the respective rooms and every process going on in university is being done legally and peacefully.
Currently management is working on evacuation of 2500+ students who were stuck during lockdown to their respective home.
