How to Write a Pro Cover Letter with Samples



When applying for a job, your cover letter acts as your personal introduction, and it’s important you make a good first impression. Too often, applicants fail to put enough thought into their cover letter or, even worse, don’t include one at all.

Writing an engaging, effective cover letter isn’t as complicated as you may think. Here’s what to include, cover letter templates, and everything else you need to know to grab the attention of employers. 

An Overview of Writing a Cover Letter

The secret to crafting a pro cover letter starts before you write a single word. You want to read and re-read the job description carefully. By understanding what specific skills the employer seeks, you can adjust your cover letter accordingly. Always use the job description as the basic foundation for your cover letter.

The Five Main Elements of a Pro Cover Letter

Although cover letters are short (one page or less), every element plays an important role. Your cover letter should include the following sections:

  • Greeting
  • Introduction
  • Body
  • Conclusion
  • Sign-off

Let’s take a closer look at each one.


Stick to a traditional “Dear” for the salutation. “Hey,” “Hi,” and similar greetings sound too casual for the professional tone you want to convey.

Ideally, you’ll have the hiring manager’s name, so you can address them as Mrs. Smith, Mr. Jones, etc. You can also address them by their full name, such as Dear John Smith.


In the first two or three sentences, introduce yourself and explain why you’re interested in the job. Emphasize all the skills and experience you have that directly relate to the position. (Also, state where you saw the job posting, as HR managers love that information.)

You want to create a hook, which is a unique attribute you have that makes you perfect for the job. This isn’t the time to be shy or modest. Instead, you want to describe your most valuable assets right away.


The body of the cover letter should consist of three to five paragraphs. You want to elaborate on your previous work accomplishments as they relate to the job you’re applying for. Back up these achievements with hard data. Also, avoid simply repeating the information from your CV. 

Include as many exact keywords as possible from the job posting. You want your letter to read as if you wrote it specifically for the employer. Any language that’s too generic can make it seem like you send the same cover letter to everybody.

(Don’t mention salary in your cover letter, as that negotiation will take place later in the hiring process.)


Finally, you’ll want to wrap up your cover letter with a call to action. Say that you’re looking forward to speaking with them soon. Invite them to call you directly. 

It’s okay to act confident here. Use language that implies you’re a good candidate for the job and that the employer definitely will want to talk with you further. Avoid anything that reads wishy-washy, such as “I hope to hear from you soon.”


As with the introduction, you want to avoid sounding too formal or too casual. The basics are fine:

  • Sincerely,
  • Regards,
  • Thanks!

You can also include a quick PS. For example, “PS: I can’t wait to tell you about the time I saved my previous employer over $50,000 annually by switching product suppliers!”

The cover letter continually adds new information about the candidate while also highlighting their skills. It also uses confident, clear language.

Your Name

The bulk of the cover letter essentially re-words the candidate’s resume, which is information the employer already has. Instead, the cover letter should provide new information about the candidate’s skills and explain how those skills can help the employer.

How to Fill the JEE Main 2022 Application Form Online?



The JEE Main 2022 application form might be released in December. Those who are interested in appearing in this entrance exam can visit the official website of JEE. Remember that the forms are available via the online medium only. After filling the JEE Main 2022 application form online, NTE, the organizing body of the JEE Exam, will screen it. The candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria will be selected, and these candidates can download their admit cards one week before the exam date.

Before submitting the JEE Main 2022 application form, the registration process needs to be completed. Follow the below steps for completing the JEE Main 2022 registration process online:

Step 1: Visit the official portal of JEE Main 2022 Exam.

Step 2: Check the site on the tentative release date of the JEE Main 2022 notification. On finding the JEE Main 2022 application form notification or URL, the candidates should click on it.

Step 3: Then, open the JEE Main 2022 registration form. The basic details like name, email id, mobile number, and date of birth are to be filled in this form. An application number and password will be sent to the registered email address.

By completing these three steps, the candidates can register themselves on the JEE portal. However, for filling the JEE Main 2022 application form, they need to adhere to the steps below:

Step 4: The candidates need to log in to the site with the application number and password to complete the application form. The candidates need to choose an exam paper (B.E or B. Planning, or B. Arch). It is the paper for which will appear in the JEE Main 2022 Exam.

Step 5: After that, other personal details like name, parents name, category, etc., are to be filled in. Following this, the candidates need to provide details of their 10th and 12th Class mark sheets. Finally, they also need to enter their permanent residence along with correspondence details.

Step 6: Submit details regarding the occupation, annual income, and qualification while filling the JEE Main 2022 Application Form. Once these details are provided, the candidates can proceed to select the city of their preference.

Step 7: Now, the candidates need to upload scanned photographs in which their face is visible. The photos can be either colored or black and white. The candidate’s name and date on which the photograph is taken should also be mentioned on the uploaded image.

Note: If the uploaded photographs are unclear, NTE will reject your application. The candidates should refrain from uploading images wearing sunglasses or a hat/cap. The images with spectacles are allowed.

Step 8: The second last step would be the payment of JEE Main 2022 application form fee. The payment should be made through either net banking, credit/debit card, UPI, or Paytm. The offline payment process is not available.

Step 9: Finally, the applicants need to take a printout of the page that displays successful payment of the application fees. The candidates keep multiple copies of this page as they might need them in the future.

Here are some documents that need to be submitted along with the JEE Main 2022 application form:

  • Marksheet of 10th and 12 Classes along with the passing certificate.
  • Scribe Certificate for those who will need the assistance of a scribe for giving the JEE Main 2022 Exam. This certificate should be in the same format as described in the application form.
  • The candidates who belong to the reserved category must submit a Category Certificate.
  • The physically disabled candidates need to submit the PwD Certificate. EWS Certificate is to be submitted by the candidates who belong to the Economically Weaker Section respectively.

How do they make Nitrous Oxide?




Before we get to how they make nitrous oxide, we first got to learn what is Nitrous Oxide? Nitrous oxide, commonly known as laughing gas, nitrous, N2O, or nos, or nangs is a chemical compound, an oxide of nitrogen with the formula N2O. At room temperature or the temperature that adapted to its surroundings, it is a colorless non-flammable gas, that gives off a slight metallic scent and taste. At elevated temperatures or above normal oral temperature, nitrous oxide is a powerful oxidizer similar to molecular oxygen. Nitrous oxide has significant medical uses, more so present in surgery and dentistry, for its anesthetic and pain numbing effects. Better known by the masses as “laughing gas”, it received this name due to the euphoric effects a person experiences after inhaling it, with this property that has led to its use as a anesthetic. You can readily buy laughing gas but only for culinary purposes.

It is on the World Health Organization’s List of Essential Medicines, the safest and most effective medicines needed in a health system. Though it became popular as an anesthetic, nitrous oxide has so many other uses. It increases internal combustion engine power, serves as an oxidizer in experiments including chemicals and rockets, and it also acts as a propellant for foods including cooking spray and whipped cream, and has multiple uses in medicine showing that it has its flexibility in uses as a chemical compound.

After learning what is Nitrous Oxide, How does someone produce said gas? The basic and safe method to make nitrous oxide at home or in a small lab was discovered by a chemist named Humphry Davy. Davy discovered that through heating ammonium nitrate, it decomposes into nitrous oxide and water vapor:

NH4NO3 (s) → 2 H2O (g) + N2O (g)

While simple, it’s crucial to gently adjust the heat of ammonium nitrate between 170 °C to 240 °C (338 °F to 464 °F). Exceeding the maximum temperature leads to rapid decomposition and the glass container to shatter due to reaching its breaking point. Use small amounts of ammonium nitrate then control the temperature with a thermometer just to be safe.

1. Place a small amount of ammonium nitrate in a test tube. Cap the test tube with a one-hole stopped. Insert plastic or glass tubing into the hole and run it into a hot water bath. The water needs to be hot because nitrous oxide dissolves in cold water, reducing the amount collected. Collect the bubbles in an inverted jar. This setup for collecting gases is called a pneumatic trough. It condenses water produced by the reaction and removes impurities, like smoke.

2. Once you’ve set up the equipment, slowly heat the ammonium nitrate. You can do this over a flame or burner. Apply heat so that it does not exceed the maximum temperature and so it produces gas bubbles at the rate of one to two bubbles per second.

3. Stop heating the ammonium nitrate before all of it has decomposed. This helps prevent overheating. Turn off the heat and disconnect the tubing from the collection jar so that water won’t flow up into it. Cover the container before turning it upright, so you won’t lose the gas. You can seal the container while it is inverted or simply cover it with a flat sheet of plastic or glass before turning it over. The gas in the container is nitrous oxide, plus smaller amounts of other nitrogen oxides, such as nitric oxide and nitrogen monoxide. Exposure to air oxidizes the nitric oxide to form nitrous oxide.

This procedure is commonly used for commercial preparation of nitrous oxide, with acid and base treatments to further purify the gas.

In 1772, another method for making nitrous oxide was discovered by Joseph Priestley and he became the first person to synthesize nitrous oxide. Priestly collected the gas produced by sprinkling nitric acid over iron filings. While an effective method, this method is better attempted in a lab by scientists because nitric acid should be used under a fume hood, with proper gear to avoid accidents. Another method to make nitrous oxide in the home or lab is to heat a mixture of sodium nitrate and ammonium sulfate. Again, collect the gas using a pneumatic trough. Heating this mixture is even safer than decomposing ammonium nitrate.

2 NaNO3 + (NH4)2SO4 → Na2SO4 + 2 N2O+ 4 H2O

The chemical reaction between urea, nitric acid, and sulfuric acid also produces nitrous oxide.

2 (NH2)2CO + 2 HNO3+ H2SO4 → 2 N2O + 2 CO2 + (NH4)2SO4 + 2H2O

Here are tips to prepare nitrous oxide safely:

– Never exceed the temperature when heating ammonium nitrate over 240 °C or 464 °F.

– Turn of the heating apparatus before the last bit of ammonium nitrate has decomposed.

– Use the highest purity ammonium nitrate available for the safest method. Pure ammonium nitrate is more stable than ammonium nitrate with impurities.

– Perform the project in a lab or in a well-ventilated area if at home. Overexposure can be fatal.

Do you know how much becoming a life coach will cost? Before jumping in headfirst, it’s vital to understand how much money you want to spend.

Having a blog on your site offers other benefits, as well. For example, you can add ads to your site and use affiliate marketing as well. Promoting products and services from other companies can earn you money.

Besides earning money, affiliate advertising has another perk. You get to share the products that you believe in with your readers! 

Having your blog gives you the power to choose what topics you want to discuss. Being in charge also gives you the final say on things like what type of products you wish to promote. 

The truth is there really are no disadvantages to starting a blog on your website!

You may or may not decide to get a life coach certification. If you do, it’ll benefit you in the long run. And they may be more willing to refer you to their friends as well! 

Besides getting a certification, consider continuing your education in other ways. A few ways to soak up more knowledge are by reading, attending seminars, and going to workshops. You can also join Facebook groups and connect with other professionals in your field. 

Honing your skills is something you should focus on as it will allow you to grow. Better yet, you’ll be able to provide better services to your clientele.
