The JEE Main 2022 application form might be released in December. Those who are interested in appearing in this entrance exam can visit the official website of JEE. Remember that the forms are available via the online medium only. After filling the JEE Main 2022 application form online, NTE, the organizing body of the JEE Exam, will screen it. The candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria will be selected, and these candidates can download their admit cards one week before the exam date.
Before submitting the JEE Main 2022 application form, the registration process needs to be completed. Follow the below steps for completing the JEE Main 2022 registration process online:
Step 1: Visit the official portal of JEE Main 2022 Exam.
Step 2: Check the site on the tentative release date of the JEE Main 2022 notification. On finding the JEE Main 2022 application form notification or URL, the candidates should click on it.
Step 3: Then, open the JEE Main 2022 registration form. The basic details like name, email id, mobile number, and date of birth are to be filled in this form. An application number and password will be sent to the registered email address.
By completing these three steps, the candidates can register themselves on the JEE portal. However, for filling the JEE Main 2022 application form, they need to adhere to the steps below:
Step 4: The candidates need to log in to the site with the application number and password to complete the application form. The candidates need to choose an exam paper (B.E or B. Planning, or B. Arch). It is the paper for which will appear in the JEE Main 2022 Exam.
Step 5: After that, other personal details like name, parents name, category, etc., are to be filled in. Following this, the candidates need to provide details of their 10th and 12th Class mark sheets. Finally, they also need to enter their permanent residence along with correspondence details.
Step 6: Submit details regarding the occupation, annual income, and qualification while filling the JEE Main 2022 Application Form. Once these details are provided, the candidates can proceed to select the city of their preference.
Step 7: Now, the candidates need to upload scanned photographs in which their face is visible. The photos can be either colored or black and white. The candidate’s name and date on which the photograph is taken should also be mentioned on the uploaded image.
Note: If the uploaded photographs are unclear, NTE will reject your application. The candidates should refrain from uploading images wearing sunglasses or a hat/cap. The images with spectacles are allowed.
Step 8: The second last step would be the payment of JEE Main 2022 application form fee. The payment should be made through either net banking, credit/debit card, UPI, or Paytm. The offline payment process is not available.
Step 9: Finally, the applicants need to take a printout of the page that displays successful payment of the application fees. The candidates keep multiple copies of this page as they might need them in the future.
Here are some documents that need to be submitted along with the JEE Main 2022 application form:
- Marksheet of 10th and 12 Classes along with the passing certificate.
- Scribe Certificate for those who will need the assistance of a scribe for giving the JEE Main 2022 Exam. This certificate should be in the same format as described in the application form.
- The candidates who belong to the reserved category must submit a Category Certificate.
- The physically disabled candidates need to submit the PwD Certificate. EWS Certificate is to be submitted by the candidates who belong to the Economically Weaker Section respectively.
