Five Easy Decoration Tips for Your Wedding Venue

When it comes to a wedding, it takes a lot of creativity and planning. However, things can look overwhelming in the starting but gradually fall into place once you keep your focus intact. Interestingly, you don’t even have to break the bank. With simple things, you can prepare your venue for the maximum impact. After all, your wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime event, and you want to ensure everything is as magical as you dreamt of.

Here are a few tips to transform your wedding decorations from dull and monotonous to dazzling and exciting –

#1 – Repurpose items lying in your home

Pouffes, pillows, blankets, chairs, rugs, wall hangings, and other similar items lying in your home can be easily utilized at your wedding venue if you wish to. I have seen a lot of couples hauling their couches and tables to the venue, and it works perfectly fine; especially when you have picked an outdoor venue but haven’t hired any wedding planner to arrange the furniture. Those extra candles and flowers can add glam too.

#2 – Choose the right color scheme

It is essential to work around with a good color scheme for your décor, so it looks attractive and reflects your style. Don’t just pick elements and hues as others are doing. Try to be unique yet subtle. You don’t have to go around experimenting and end up with a tacky venue appearance. Also, if you choose neutrals, do introduce an accent color to add life to your entire scheme.

#3 – Mark the venue entrance

There can be various ways to mark the venue entrance for your guests. You can do that by placing a church door, pillars or even huge flower vases on both sides. Your venue would be the deciding factor for this. Also, what you choose is your call but I would suggest not leaving it plain. Make it as welcoming as possible with flowers, ribbons, garlands, and fairy lights.

#4 – Install a centerpiece

For a family dinner post-ceremony, a proper seating arrangement for the VIP guests and relatives is a must. So, unless you are planning a standing party, you need to have a centerpiece where everyone sits down for the savory meals you organized for them. Fortunately, that doesn’t call for anything extravagant; fresh flowers, jars, and a little touch of lighting would do well. If you want to try something out of the box, vintage lanterns, mismatched glassware can be a great idea.

#5 – Rent a water fountain

Adding a customized water feature at your wedding venue can bring a totally different feeling to the space. You can either buy it and later use in your home’s backyard or rent it. There are plenty of such suppliers in Toronto. One such that I recently came in contact with is Uniton Trading Corp. They can create whatever look and feel you want for your rental water fountain.
