7 Questions to Ask Before Buying a best Commercial Pressure Washer

Is the provider only internet operation?

This is evident with almost any purchase, especially when buying expensive wash equipment. The investment of a company box with PO is very low. Where will they be tomorrow, warranty time will come? You want to deal with an organization that has experience, part and service staff. Before you buy ask yourself: Will this company take care of my future needs?

Does the system have a 12-volt burner?

Ask before you buy how the burner is powered. Yes, you will probably save money on an initial purchase of a 12-volt system but you will need to save money for future repairs! The 12-volt unit draws their power from the battery to run the burner system. Engines diodes recharge batteries. The problem is that the diodes do not produce enough amps to keep up with the burner. As a result, the fan motor slows down and the hot coils get wet from the lack of air flow so this huge problem of engineering creates a mess and the coils need to be cleaned more often. Vibration, operator control, altitude, engine RPM all affect the engine diodes and we have not seen any system that is reliable!

Get Best commercial pressure washer equipment that has its own separate generator – produces 115 volts to power the burner system! Apparently a 115-volt system with its own generator has 10 times the voltage and is therefore 10 times more reliable in operation. The 12-volt exception is if the burner has a belt-driven option. Just like with your car, the option will put about 65 amps of pressure on the burner system. More than enough electricity to run the burner process efficiently.

Does the equipment come from a franchised dealer?

What are the best franchised brands? Necessarily! Often large businesses use imported equipment to cut costs, making commercial pressure washer for sale machines more likely to break down. Not a good thing when in your case.

Most of the big brands are owned by foreign companies. Ask your local dealer where their equipment is prepared? If it is made outside the United States, do you really want to buy a machine made overseas?

Get a unit with proprietary components, which means they are not privately labeled. Ownership components are readily available in the market, so you can get services and parts anywhere without having to deal with a dealer.

If it’s not engineered for easy service – don’t buy it! Most units are poorly engineered – they look fancy but what about oil changes in motors and pumps? Rebuilding a Pump? Belt changing? Burner access? Etc. Every machine needs service! Beware of weak engineering!

Does the equipment come with a written warranty?

Ask your dealer for a written warranty. If they can’t deliver one or ware you without warning a verbal buyer

Are the tools the right size for my needs?

If you’re using your pressure washer for heavy duty cleaning, say at a construction site, or in most commercial applications, don’t buy a light duty consumer pressure washer that won’t hold it right. Make sure you buy a pressure washer that fits your needs and application. Read more about pressure washers at Hotsy Equipment Company.

Is the tool belt driven?

The belt drive pump will last longer and perform better on longer lifts. Direct drive pumps eventually fail which usually requires a complete pump replacement. Direct drive spin pump pumps faster which causes more wear and tear in ceramic plungers etc.

Is soap injection upstream or flowing?

Comes with lots of tools including flow or high pressure soap. It can work great in a short time but your pump will create problems more quickly with ceramics. Ceramic immerses degrade much faster after exposure to a variety of chemicals. A high pressure system throws the soap into the water before hitting your pump. After the water comes out of the burner, the downstream water introduces soap into the water. This is good because soaps will not have any adverse effects on your valuable equipment components.
