Develop a personalized study space

The bar exam entails a lot of things. This means that you will have to study widely in order to cover most of the topics. The best way to achieve this is to create a personalized study space for your studies. It is true that sometimes you will need to study and discuss with a group of people.

However, you should have a separate place where you can study quietly without much interference. This will help you to focus and absorb more.

You can decide to go to a library or a quiet place in your home. The idea is to avoid any interruptions as much as possible. There are certain concepts that need a lot of concentration before they sink in.

Study smart

When it comes to preparing for exams, you need to find ways of studying smart. It should not just be about studying everything from A to Z. Besides, you can’t wait until a few days and expect to cover all the important topics.

The best thing to do is to practice smart reading or study. Don’t read too much or too little. Cramming is good but please don’t overdo it.

There are some concepts that will require you to thoroughly read in order to understand. Get everything you want to study and divide your time accordingly.

Make a schedule

Although you might not be able to control the type of questions that will be brought in the bar exam, you can control your preparation for those questions.

The amount of work covered in the bar exam can be overwhelming but you can keep things in control by coming up with a schedule to tackle each topic or subject prior to the exam.

On your schedule, allocate time based on the complexity and length of each topic. You can make a schedule a month or three weeks to the test. Ensure that you don’t assume anything while creating your schedule.

Study during exams hours

You need to keep the stamina throughout the exam period. Don’t assume that you have read everything and there’s no need to study anymore. Exam hours are the best to study because whatever you will be reading will still be fresh in your memory when you walk into the exam room.

In case you are working or engaged in other activities that might prevent you from studying during the exam period, take advantage of the weekends to compensate for the lost time.

Relax and get enough sleep

Exams can bring about anxiety and restlessness. But you need to ask yourself how many exams you have done since you started schooling. Try as much as possible to get enough rest and avoid stressful situations.

If there is anything you don’t understand, try and organize a discussion group with friends whom you think can help.

Avoid distractions

During the exam period, try as much as possible to stay away from people and things that can easily distract you. Bar exams need a lot of concentration and allowing anything stressful can affect your preparations and ability to answer questions effectively.
